But on Google assistant, you can do all the things you do with Google Now. Above that, you can control your phone with just voice command. Like typing WhatsApp messages, Facebook messages, making a call, searching, changing phone and applications settings etc. You can also talk and chat with Google assistant. Like a real personal assistant.
Officially according to Google there are only 2 devices compatible with Google assistant app. One is Google Pixel and other is Google Pixel XL. But if you follow our guide you can install Google Assistant on any android 6.0/7.0/7.1 and above. So basically you need to have an android marshmallow or nougat device. Then you are all set to use Google assistant so let’s see the procedure.
After successfully installing Xposed framework you have to unduh and install Android N-ify Xposed Module.
Now just open Xposed framework and activate the Android N-ify Xposed Module.
Then restart your android phone and open Google app >> swipe right side and tap on settings and select search screen. Then toggle enable "Asks Google to show you isu related to what's on your screen when you hold the home button or search by voice" option.
Then make sure you have selected the Google app as default assist app from android settings. If you have not then just go to Device setting >> search for "app permissions" >> default apps >> assist & voice input.
Select Assist app as "Google app". That's it now you can press and hold home button you will see Google assistant instead of Google now.
Now just complete the instructions and then you can enjoy Google Assistant on android marshmallow.

How to install Google assistant on any android 6.0/7.0/7.1
There are two ways to install Google assistant app. One is for the rooted user and another is for the non-rooted user. Note: Before using this trick let me aware you the fact. If something goes wrong with your device I will not be responsible. So make sure you follow the step correctly and more than that you should know what you are doing.
Install Google Assistant on Android Marshmallow - Root requires
The developer of this trick Max Rumpf says this will work on version 6.6.14.21 of Google app. which run on arm64 and x86 android devices. So for installing Google assistant on marshmallow Make sure you have installed Google app 6.6.14.21 and Xposed framework.After successfully installing Xposed framework you have to unduh and install Android N-ify Xposed Module.
Now just open Xposed framework and activate the Android N-ify Xposed Module.
Then restart your android phone and open Google app >> swipe right side and tap on settings and select search screen. Then toggle enable "Asks Google to show you isu related to what's on your screen when you hold the home button or search by voice" option.
Select Assist app as "Google app". That's it now you can press and hold home button you will see Google assistant instead of Google now.
Now just complete the instructions and then you can enjoy Google Assistant on android marshmallow.
Install Google Assistant on Android Nougat Device - Root Require
In this method, we will change our device model name to google pixel from the build.prop file. Then we can unduh Google assistant from Google play.You can use any root explorer file manager that allow you to access and edit root files. Like ES file explorer, Root browser, Solid explorer etc. You can also use build.prop editor this app designed to only edit build.prop.
The build.prop file is located in the system folder. You have to just open and search the line and replace it.
ro.product.model=your device and replace it to ro.product.model=Pixel XL
Add this line too ro.opa.eligible_device=true
Now save it and restart the device. That’s it now open Google play and search for Google assistant and install it and enjoy.
Install Google Assistant on Android Nougat Device - No Root Require
If you don’t want to root your new device than its ok. You can use this method.Before doing anything you should uninstall the google app. Then just unduh the two files GoogleAssistantBuildProp.zip and GoogleAssistantVelvet.zip.
Now reboot your phone into recovery mode and apply update from sd card.
Then first flash GoogleAssistantBuildProp.zip and then GoogleAssistantVelvet.zip and after that tap on reboot system now.
That’s it now you have successfully installed Google assistant on your android device without rooting.
