"We expect BanLec could be useful in emergency pandemic and tackle the cause ofthe infection of unknown origin origins," he said.

Professor of Molecular Virology at the University of Nottingham, Jonathan Ball toExpress mention of lectin had potential because they are able to bind to the sugarsfound on the surface of various viruses including HIV, influenza and Ebola.
