Foxconn switch its production plans. Foxconn Electronics plans to bestow orders it receives from Apple's iPhone to their subsidiary, Foxconn International Holdings (FIH). Foxconn is also going to increase the number of employees for speeding producing iPhone.
On the other hand, for Foxconn itself, the devolution of Apple's approval, aims to help FIH improve its business operations. The reason, in recent years, FIH has decreased orders from Nokia and Motorola Mobility.
Despite handle large orders from a number of Chinese vendors such as Huawei, ZTE and Lenovo, the reduction of orders from Nokia and Motorola Mobility accounts for a big loss for FIH in the second half of 2012 is the biggest loss. This is compared to the same period last year.
Citing unnamed sources, the Wall Street Journal, Tuesday (07/05/2013) launch, this transfer also allows Foxconn to streamline and optimize operations within the company group.
Previously, Foxconn reportedly is preparing production of the new iPhone. To that end, the Taiwanese company is adding 10 thousand employees for their factory in Zhengzhou. Foxconn's Zhengzhou plant currently has approximately 300 thousand employees.
